1. Subclass 482 – Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) Visa

  • Duration: 2–4 years
  • Allows employers to sponsor overseas workers for temporary roles
  • Includes:
  •                   -Short-term stream (2 years, renewable once)
  •                   -Medium-term stream (up to 4 years, pathway to PR)
  •                   -Labour agreement stream (custom employer agreements)
  •  
  • Requirements:
  1. Nominated occupation must be on the STSOL or MLTSSL
  2. Relevant skills and work experience
  3. English language proficiency
  4. Employer must be an approved sponsor

2. Subclass 186 – Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS)

  • Permanent residence visa
  • Suitable for skilled workers nominated by an approved Australian employer
  • Includes:
  •                  -Direct Entry stream
  •                  -Temporary Residence Transition stream
  •                  -Labour Agreement stream
  •  
  • Requirements:
  1. Occupation on MLTSSL
  2. Must be under 45 years old (with some exceptions)
  3. Must have competent English
  4. Must have skills assessment (for Direct Entry)
  5. At least 3 years of work experience in most cases

3. Subclass 494 – Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Visa

  • 5-year temporary visa with pathway to PR
  • For skilled workers sponsored to work in designated regional areas
  • Must live and work regionally for 3 years to become eligible for Subclass 191 PR
